A Brief History...

The club started off life as Poulton Celtics in the early 90's playing at Hodgson High School. Having gained promotion to 3B, the club was renamed 'Queens Poulton' and relocated their home games to Cottom Hall. Pete Charnley was manager and lead the team to promotion into division 2. Current manager Andy Taylor played in goal for the Queens and took over from Pete in the late 90's. The club then became the Old England and to this day remain in division 2B of the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance. Long serving players still in the squad today are, Mick Cleary (Russian International),Neil Nuckerly (Nuckers)and John Wardale.
In the last few years, old england have signed some younger players up such as : Ant Harper,Danny Pocock,Michael Openshaw and Kyle Drabble.Hopefully Old england will be able to give 2B a good fight in the coming season (2009/10).
